100% Pure Linux

Only Linux is used for development of and serving this web site.

Development

The Shredzone has been developed on Sharon (Fedora Core 2, AMD Athlon 600, 256MB RAM), Monique (Fedora Core 2, AMD Athlon 64, 512MB RAM) and Noriko (Fedora Core 2, Intel Celeron 500, 128MB RAM).

Software used: jEdit, The Gimp, Sodipodi, Mozilla, CVS, Perl.

Server

For web service, a Hetzner Entry Server is used. This is an AMD Athlon 2200+, 512MB RAM, running Debian Linux as operating system.

As server side software, Apache, PHP 4 and MySQL is used.

rsync is used for data exchange between development system and server.

Content Management

As Content Management System, a self-made software called Akiko is used.
